Once a year, the IT community converge on Gallagher Estate, coming together for the MyBroadband Conference. Here we get to hear about the latest developments in our industry, network with customers and partners, and just catch up with old industry friends while making new contacts. This year we were once again lucky enough to be one of the exhibitors at the event – another big tick box on the Netshield annual calendar.
Not only did we get the opportunity to listen to exceptional keynotes by Kyle Whitehill of Liquid Telecom and Pushkar Gokhale from Openserve, among others. We got the outstanding chance to connect with so many vibrant and energetic people. From CIOs to CTOs to students, we were able to share the benefits of the Netshield portfolio of products with so many.
It seems that the greatest topic of interest at the conference was connectivity and getting people across Africa from all communities to be able to connect quickly and affordably. The notion of digital transformation is alive and well in Africa, and we are enormously humbled to be part of that revolution.
We were able to create fantastic exposure for our brand and got to meet both resellers and partners. We also had the chance to show off our Datacentre in a Box or as many of you know it, our Self Contained Cabinets, a smart, affordable solution for any company – and so much quicker than building a data centre from scratch!
The Netshield Datacentre in a Box is not only a smart solution for any company looking to implement a well-managed data centre, but it is also more affordable and quicker than building one of your own from the ground up.
We received a great deal of interest in this simple roll in and set up IP54 rated cabinet. It has all the security, cooling and monitoring you would come to expect from a regular datacentre, but without the hassle of costly building fees and excessive cut off periods due to numerous installation elements.
We look forward to being part of this phenomenal event next year and begin helping as many South Africans as we can to change the way they do business through simplifying it, improving it and providing the technologies to better it. We also would like to congratulate Stacey Connor for winning the GSM Power Monitor with the lucky draw. Now you will always know the status of your power at home through sms!
