As you are aware, the South African government recently announced a national lockdown for 21 days effective from midnight on Thursday the 26th of March 2020. I would like to update you on the steps we have put in place to continue our service and support during this unprecedented time.
Most of our staff will continue working from home and will continue with their normal working responsibilities, except for production, deliveries, goods receiving, stores and local dispatch.
Management, sales, admin, customer service and engineering support will continue with all possible work responsibilities and will still be available on all normal communication channels. Please use cellular phone numbers, WhatsApp and email.
With regards to all customer orders, backorders and deliveries, we will be working to ensure all delivery requirements are met directly after the release of the lockdown. We pre-emptively ask for your patience when we do all return from the lockdown as we can expect some frustrating delays from customs, shipping agents and production facilities due to local and global backlogs and production facility restart-up delays.
Should you wish to reschedule any of your deliveries or require delivery of your April orders before the lockdown, please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange and plan accordingly.
With the current situation we require pinpoint planning and accuracy, thus I request that you also try to plan for future requirements. Please consider placing orders well in advance, as far as possible, to avoid the rush and backlog we expect. We would rather accommodate delivery rescheduling as it is always easier to purposefully delay deliveries than try to speed up delivery of any new orders.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you again for your support and we pray God will keep you, your family and staff safe and give you peace and rest during this time.
